There seem to be a few Roush/Alcon kits popping up for sale here and there for dirt cheap (well below half of original retail price), and Im thinking this would a wicked upgrade over the stock GT/V6 style brake system.

However, Im trying to think long term here. Should the pads (for the front Alcon caliper, the rear utilizes a stock caliper) and rotors (14 inch) need to be replaced, who makes the replacement parts and where could I get them from?

Im thinking Brembo or BAER would make a replacement rotor for these kits?

Anyone out there have a much more positive idea on who and where to get replacement parts from??

Thanks!!

Usually contacting the manufacturer directly is the best way to get the right parts.

Was that the set on the Corral? I was looking at a similar set recently and just couldn't justify spending the cash right now. Really awesome brakes. Great purchase.

Them be the ones. Yea, It took me about a day or so to fully justify it myself. But after comparing other kits, Brembos, BAER, Ford Racing "Cobra", AP Racing, Wilwood etc....I said why the hell not.
Since I did plan on upgrading my brakes to something MUCH better over the stock GT/V6 brakes, sometime in the future.

Actually, if you still are thinking about it, I did run across some for sale at Stage 3 Motorsports for a touch more, before I bought this particular set.

That's really cool. I want 14" brakes on my convertible - I have 13" Baer GT+ on the front and back and I want something a bit more flashy. :(

Thanks for the link. I'm too broke (or more likely just too cheap) to spend that kind of coin right now. Maybe with next year's bonus check. :)

Paul.

My buddy with the 01 roush has them on his car, and it's a big difference.

I've got the Baer 13's on mine and it's a big difference.
I'd like to eventually get a set on mine as well.

Does anybody know what wheels these brakes will and will not clear?

I heard that these wont clear the Saleen wheels?

I do know that they clear the ROUSH and Y2K Cobra R wheels....But those arent the rims I want on my car.

Thanks.

why not saleens? :dunno:

i think as long as your wheels are larger than 17" you should be fine.

They say the minimum wheel to use is 18 inch with this setup.
But sometimes some rims have weird ass spoke designs that might interfere with the Alcon caliper.

If they don't clear Saleens, just add a 5mm spacer, and you should be good.
