i just bought a used set of calipers from a 03 cobra. and im matching them with a set of power slotted rotors and and hawk pads. i forgot to ask the guy to sell me the lines to. i like the braided lines but do i really need them to work on the new calipers or will the stock gt ones be ok.

You need to make sure that the banjo bolt (the bolt that goes into the caliper at the end of the brake line) seals the fluid. If you have a leak, you might have to replace them. See if it works, and if not, I think I might have some new cobra brake lines out of a cobra brake kit. Never used them because my stoptech braided lines worked with all the brake setups.

Your going to need the Cobra lines as well. They are a bit longer than the GT pieces.

The braided lines offer better brake pedal "feel" as they don't swell like the standard rubber lines upon braking.
