currently I am running 235/17 in the front and 245 in the rear. when I had 245 in the front it tracked really bad.

just wondering I am getting 03/04 cobra rims what size tires should i be getting for the rear 275/315? also what tire hight

hope that would give it the nice stance and a little more traction instead of being all over the road :)

With the 03-04 Cobra wheels, up front you could do a 255/40-17 and for the rear 275/40-17 or 295/35-17...depending on the tire mfg, a 315/35-17 will bulge...

ck my sig. for tire sizes. i didn't have any wandering on the roads unless i found some grooves in the right lane. wider tires will sometimes do that.

I'd probably do 255/40 upfront and 275/40 in the rear. Seen 245s on a 9" rim and it looks too small. If you want to be able to rotate just do 275/40 all around.

Tracking in the road could be alignment too, but some tires do it more than others.

Its not just the tire width its also the tread pattern that effects how bad a tire will track. Ive always run 255's on the front and while I have had it pull on some road surfaces its not been that bad.

I have 275/35/18" tires in the front mounted on 9" wheels, and had minimal rut steering. Like the above post said, its all about tire design. I run BFG KDW2s, and notice very little rut steering. with the KDWS all season tires on there,9245/45R17) I noticed more wandering and bump steer than with my wider KDW2 summer tires. This was all with stock suspension, BTW. It is vastly modified since.

A bumpsteer kit from Steeda, Griggs, MM or Agent 47 will also help, as it gets your control arm and tie rod end on the same plane, reducing wander on the highway and other places. I recommend this because of the symptoms, and you didn't say if you had them on there or not. make sure you use a torque wrench if you do put them on!!! ask me how I know.......

I also run a 295/35/18 BFG KDW2 in the back, with 300HP at the tires, and they stick like crazy glue. I had 245/35/17 in back for a while, and I could spin them in 3rd. Then again, those were all season KDWS, and later Kumho HTRZ's in 275, and they both sucked.
