:icon_rr: What type of wheel ? Not many 17x8.5's plenty of 9's and 10.5's though... but should be fine otherwise !

275 on an 8.5" rim is pushing it. I don't think I would go any wider than that.

I've run 245's up front and 275's in the rear on two different sets of 18x8.5" rims

I just would not do it... you really have to watch (safety) from the bead from breaking !

2000 cobra r wheels

Those are a 18x9.5 if i am correct.

2000 cobra r wheels have 2 sizes

17x8.5
18x9.5

i have the 17" version

well he means the real ones are 18x9.5"

at any rate i'd do 245/45 up front and 275/40 in the rear, 8.5 isn't that wide...

Yeah that's what i meant. Sorry for not being specific.

You could also look for some 265/40/17 that would be a great size. Also look into a 255/45/17 for all 4 corners. Thats what i am most likely going to do when i pick up the 01 polished cobra's tomorrow.

I had a 255/45/17 all the way around on my '98 Cobra wheels and they looked absolutely great. I put a spacer on the back to bring the tire to the wheel well, and those were awesome on an 8" wheel.

KDW's are a good looking tire, but I ran G-force Sports and couldn't beat it for the money... great traction, held up to a lot of burnouts... and they were like 120 a pop.

I can't hear my tires over my exhaust, so tire noise is sort've a non-issue for me... Haha.
