I'm looking for a new set of shocks/ struts, and I found a set from latemodelrestoration.com that have an additional shock (quad shock), does my car have that? should I replace it? is it really essential to replace it?

if they charge you more than $40.00 than dont bother. i got my ACDelco quad shocks for $16.00 each...

they connect your axle to the frame to help with wheel hop...

why remove the quads after the LCA upgrade? do they cause problems if you leave them on?

mine are going to be like, 3 months old when i do my LCAs, so i wasnt even gunna bother taking off the bolts... just a waste of energy to remove them... lol. if they cause problems, let me know!

they dont cause problems. but they aren't needed after you swap in some good LCAs. i'd say they take up space.

i took mine off when i upgraded to the tokico premium shocks and struts. i still have yet to put the hotchkins LCA's on the car, and its still fine. then again, the car is stock for the most part - cat back, KNN filter...
