strut brace

well i put on my tfs throttle body and plenum and now my stock strut brace wont fit in do i need it or not. im probably guna make a custom one out of tubular steel or maby even boxed tubing. is it even necessary or not. thanks

it is not necessary, i ran my cobra without a strut tower brace when i was na and had the jlt cai. it will feel looser but it should be fine.

You'll probably be ok with out of it, but I don't think it's cosmetic at all. Ford recognized that the strut tower braces do help, and installed it in 94.

MM claims that strut tower braces are mandatory, esp. for track use.

you'll be fine with out it, but i suggest getting one if you plan on pushing the car... ford didnt just throw $100.00 worth of metal away on each mustang made from 1994-1998 to "look pretty." that chunk of change would have quickly added up for something useless.

mine rubs on my CAI as well... i feel ur pain :-(
