Hey guys,

I just did the rear shocks on my 95 cobra and i upgraded to bilsteins....now when i jack up the car (on one side of the rear) it lifts both rear tires....

I just noticed this when i did the shocks and well it never happened with the stockers..

any thoughts on this? maybe i over tightened the shocks..they did look shorter than the stocks ones...

Thanks,

Nick

Compare part numbers, and make sure you have year specific stuff.

Hey could if any one has rear bilstein shocks, would you mind measuring the length of the thread coming out the trunk past the nylon locking nut

THnaks,

Thats fine. I can't think of the word for it, but the stock shocks expand more than the better bilsteins. When I jack up my car on stocks or my cheap Tokico HPs the wheels take really long to get off the ground. When my buddy who has bilsteins jacks up his car both wheels raise off the ground much, much sooner than with stock shocks. I guess that's the rebound of the shock. It has nothing to do with overtightening, don't worry.
