i got ford racing b spring on my car now but the back of the car only went down 3/4 of a inch i was told i can cut the dead coil off the top of the rear springs is this true the fornt of the car is lowered to where i want in 1-1/8"

Yes, you can, but i dont reccomend it at all.

you might sacrifice ride quality.

it probably will sacrafice ride quality, they are progressive springs, which means if you cut them, it will compensate their engineering. .. . .. IMHO.

If anything I would say to cut the bottom of the coil

You only want it down like another 1/2 inch right?

Thats like nothing...you could cut like 1/4 coil and get that.

the bottom has the pig tail to sit on the LCA, would it be wise to cut the pigtail off?

no do not cut the bottom. ONY CUT THE TOP. I have the C springs and I cut the dead coil off the top of my rear springs. Wish it was more of a drop though. C's are not specific rate but I think the rears of B's and C's are exactly the same. No difference in ride quality in the rear.
