Torque boxes?

This may sound really dumb, I tried searching so I wouldn't look like an idiot lol, but I couldn't find any pics soo here it goes. What exactly is the torque box??? Is it the metal peice underneath the pumpkin? With the rubber mount or whatever they used?? something is making a noise from what I believe is that general area so I was curious if thats what it was? Thanks guys, sorry for the noob question but I've still got alot of learning to do with the whole rwd thing...

it's the area where your upper and lower control arms attach to the chassis. They sell reinforcement kits for this area as well.

lol ill have to get you guys new pictures of venoms car after i REWELD thoes torque boxes and make them pretty.... god thats some bad welding lol
