I just got a set of authentic Cobra R wheels, 18x9.5.
They are perfect in the back, but the fronts stick out almost 2" from the edge of the fender.

What can I do to tuck these in?

Cobra R's for what model year? Your sure they are Ford wheels? I thought R's were 9" wide....

It wouldn't be the first time someone bought used wheels and didn't get exactly what they thought they were.

Cobra R's
"17 x 9 in. 5-spoke cast aluminum"

Just like block/head casting numbers. Always pays to check the wheels casting numbers.

Meh, they prolly arent authentic, they are the same ones tire rack sells. Definitely 18x9.5.. Yea, my bad, the RIMS stick out too far..

I put tue backs to the front and vis versa, all 4 are identical.

Lets see a picture... I bet they are a set of First production AFS or O.E. wheels when they had different wheels for the front and back when they where the same size. Are these 95 CR's or Y2kR's?

i was thinking the same thing. ive seen 95r wheels in 18's but not too many. and the ones i have seen in that size, looked pretty bad. the 95r wheel just looks too big in an 18.

I am pretty sure that the original 2000 Cobra R's were 18x9.5, if thats what you have. They were meant for the new edge mustangs so they could stick out a little more than normal. I could be wrong tho

The 99-04 Stangs have a slight fender roll on them and therefore those wheels tuck right under them.

If there real then there 18x9.5"

They should be that on all 4.

Yes, I'm aware of this, which is the problem.

I know, but I'd really like these to work.

Anyone have these? If so, what did you do?

I kinda thought about getting some flares, but I don't think they'd look good, rather, gaudy..

Just throw a spacer on the rear and go with a 265/35 up front and a 305 out back and with a spacer it will be fine.

Actually, that was my 1st and best option. To widen the rears to match the fronts, that way both stick out and the rears don't look so bad.

But

It'll need more than a small spacer. The rears tuck under the fender, the fronts stick out a ways.
