steering wheel play,help!

i have some play in my steering wheel about 2 inches maybe,also whenever i turn it seems to want to stay in the direction im turning in instead of going back straight..if anyones knows what im talking about please let me know cause this is bugging the hell out of me..this is in my 95 GT.

Check the "rag" joint on the steering shaft assembly. It's located near the (dr. side) exhaust manifold. If it's deteriorated then obviously.... It's job is done.

mine's the same way. Ca you buy a solid joint or urethane or just replace? Sorry to hijack

Haven't heard of a poly one but, you either replace or buy a complete solid shaft from MM for about $400

I think a 99-04 shaft and rag joint will work if you luck out you can grab them off ebay for 30 or so shipped.

Like i just picked up one just now for 24.99 shipped off ebay from a local company
