Definitely looks like a 35 in the front...may even be a 30 out back depending on the size of the tire...

I ran 275/35/18s and 335/30/18s with very similar looking sidewalls to the above.

But like 95convgt said...its most likely 35s all around...most people don't rock 335s out back hah

yeah i think that picture is a few years old, might have been more common then than now. i'm about to trade my explorer for a 96 mystic and that one in the photos has been my favorite car since i was 15 so i want to clone it. would a wider tire appear to have a taller sidewall than a more narrow tire with the same sidewall? i'm pretty set on running 295 width tires in the back on saleen replica 18x10.5 rims, so what sidewall would you recomend for the same look as the tires on that car? thanks for the info guys

I'm gonna guess and say 35 on the front and 30 on the rear, but the width of the tire makes just as much of a difference.

a wider tire doesn't necessarily mean a taller sidewall, that's the whole purpose of the profile size. 295/35-18 is actually taller than a 315/30-18.

I'm running 265/35-18s up front and 295/35-18s in the rear. my rear tire is slightly taller than the front, both sizes fit the 18x9 and 18x10" rims respectively well.

Why not look at the side what and read what it says? it's going to tell you exactly what it is instead of use playing the guessing game.

I can't get the pic to clear up enough to see it. I don't think he has the Info on the car i think it's just a picture he has.

(tire width in millimeter) / percentageof width of tire = side wall - wheel size

so 295/35-18

29.5 cm accross / the sidewall is 35% of 29.5cm - on an 18 inch wheel

correct me if im wrong but thats my understanding

yeah i can't get the image clear enough, and i got the pictures off a site called mysticcobra.net a number of years ago and the site doesn't even exist anymore. tire sizing is somewhat of a black art it seems like to me, a complete mystery to me. and it seems like tire brands use the dick measuring chart instead of a real ruler to i'm never sure what to think. thanks for the input, i guess it's a 35 maybe? probably go with that

read my post. profile size depends on tire width. you can have 2 different profiles and have the same size sidewall.
