OK I'm still pretty new to the american muscle customs and I'm considering lowering my 97 GT Vert to give it a meaner stance. I've found that I want the H & R Sport springs but there is an option to include isolators for the front and rear for an additional $120. What are these and are they necessary. If so what purpose do they serve? Thanks again.

120$? Additional? No way man. The spring isolator is a cushion between the spring and the control arm/frame components to reduce noise. If your stock ones are worn, you can pick up a set of Energy Suspension or other leading brand ISO for around 15-30 an axle. Don't pay more than 60 bucks for good replacement spring isolators.

hey i just did my springs(eibach pro-kit) and all 4 rear control arms w/o isolators. very little noise. only on very bad roads. if you want the assurance of no noise get iso's but dont get the 120$ ones. go with cheaper aftermarket ones
