I'm going to buy some new wheels and don't know what size tires for the rear? The fronts are 17-9s with 245-45-17 tires the rears are 17-10.5 I want something wide but don't know how wide to go.

Most people use a 315/35/17 on the 10.5" rims, as mentioned you want at least a 295 width

I run 315/35/17's on the rear of my car. So far I haven't had any issues with rubbing but then again my car doesn't sit super low (Eibach Sportlines w/ISO's). You'll more then likely have to remove the quad shocks if you still have them.

I would suggest looking at the Tire specs on exactly which tire you want to get. Certain tires will take a Larger size wheel.

For Instance : I picked up some Hoosier D/R's locally. They were a 275/40zr/17 Hoosier on there site recommends using a 10.5" Wheel. So just do some research. It also depends on how long you want them to last also.

Look at this also.
