Who the fuck designed this shit....

anyway, im trying to put 03 cobra arms on the front of my car but I cant get the bolt out cause the damn racks in the way.

I unbolted the rack but it will only pull so far forward on the driver side...Im assuming cause all the hard lines, etc.

Any tips on how to get this bolt out?

Pull both the bolts out from the rack, unbolt the steering shaft under the dash, make sure column is locked key out, and you don't force the shaft back into the column, as you could damage your clockspring for airbag, cruise, horn, etc. Then pull the rack forward and up a little, bolt comes right out.

Yea its not difficult just like stated before, if you turn the steering wheel wihle the intermediate shaft is out the index of the clock spring will be wrong and when you go to make a hard turn either left or right, you will hear a snap and then need a new clock spring..... love when customers do that at work and they said "it wasnt lke that after you guys worked on it... but iwas under the dash but it wasnt my fault i put everythign back hahah ....
