So opinions on brands? Narrowed it down to either the QA1, UPR, or MMR...all three are the full coilover/A Arm/K member kit.
Just wanted to see what opinions/person experience everyone had on them.

Im leaning towards the MMR since I will prob get a good deal bc of the ton of stuff I've been ordering from them lately.
Anyways...opinions?

Also for street strip duty what spring rate do ya'll recomend?

I've always been a fan of Maximum Motorsports but will probably get hated on by others if I preach them. From what I hear UPR isn't that quality of a product so I'd scratch them off the list.

i 1000% agree.

^^I know UPR isnt top notch, but Ive never heard anything BAD about their suspension products, other than their CC plates. I too love MM but cant afford much of their products. Have had cc plates for two years and had 0 problems.

I hate Qa1 Kmembers. I've installed 2 that had quality issue on street cars. I have a Granatelli and I couldn't be happier. We drive the hell out of that mustang and we haven't had a single issue with it.

I had a QA1 K member and some GMS coil overs. the coil overs sucked.
The K was pretty good.
I replaced them with Maximum Motorsports. their K member is stronger/better.
Their coil overs are much better and they use Hypercoil springs. good and good.

If ou can find a qa1 thats old, (like mine made in 03) then you will be set, thats when they were made in the US their welds were better, and the quality all around was better. If I hadent gotten a deal on this one, it would have been a Team Z K-member for meee.

Ive seen some upr's and they ahve terrible welds, and not a huge fan of MM myself

Hmmm no feedback on the MMR one though? The Ive heard really bad stuff about the Granettli before so thats not really a shock...MM is one option I hadnt thought of so far....

I've installed a TeamZ it's a good brand. The only reason I didn't get a TeamZ for the 03 is because they wouldn't answer the phone whenever I called. I tried for 3 days so I said screw it.

I helped install two AJE Racing K members in two different Mustang GT's.
Overall the fitment was great,is one of the lightest K members on the market,
and they have excellent customer service from me and friends expereince.

The QA1 K memeber has had quality issues and clearance problems since it
puts your wheels and tires one inch forward. The a arms look to have very poor quality
when I seen there K member kit before.

The UPR K member kit is actually a pretty good k member kit for the money spent.
I know Bill Putnam ran a UPR K member for years on his 00 GT before he sold it.
Overall the quality and fitment was good for a less expensive K member kit.

The Granatelli K member kit is by far the worse and is basically a cheap copy of the Maximum Motorsport design.
There customer service sucks from my experience with them.I would never give them my business again.

The Maximum Motorsport K member kit has the best overall design and is stronger too but, alittle heavier though.
Quality is really nice and so is fitment but,it comes with a expensive price tag though
at over 1K.Maximum Motorsport has top notch customer service and is always willing to help people.

As for the MMR K member kit I have no experience with.
I have heard mixed comments of good and bad about MMR.
Don't run there K member just because you purchase parts through them.
Ask fellow mustang enthusiasts that have there K member kit if
it is worth getting and ask some questions too.

I personally would get a AJE Racing or the UPR K member kit.
Definitley do some research before you purchase any K member kit.

I know the design and production build of the QA1 K member was changed sometime
in 2005.Since then the quality of there K members has turned to the stink pile.
The older QA1 K members are alot better. You can fined them used if you search.
They started producing the QA1 K members overseas enough said.

if it's a cheap version of the MM, it's a damn good one.

Thanks Pennywise! I'll look into those two as well.

1K is a little steep for the MM kit...I will probably end up with the UPR kit. I've heard good things about them from a few local mustang guys and hearing decent reviews online..

Thanks for the help guys!
