when you take out the iso, does that make any difference in ride quality? does it wear stuff out faster or make it really noisy?

It's very minimal. You can always wrap the spring ends in some duct tape, but the spring will wear through it pretty quickly.

There's very little (If any) movement of the springs when they are properly seated. I only noticed a difference in ride when I removed the rears. But quickly forgot about it.

I noticed a reasonable difference when I removed my poly isos...

it definitely makes a difference in appearance. I have heard wrapping the spring in duct tape or a rubber bike tube or something does help, once installed i can't see the spring moving around in the perch.
