Ok Im sure this has been asked before, but I couldnt find much in a search.

Will a 275/40/18x9.5 fit on the front

And how does it look in the back, I'd like to be pretty wide, but also be able to rotate.

The rims in question are y2k cobras.

You'd want to go with a 275/35 for 18" wheels, you might have a little clearance issues with turning up front with a 275 but they should work good all around.

I've run 18x9s up front with 275/35s on 2 seperate sets of wheels...they rubbed on full turns, but not too bad...

I went with 265/35s on my FRs

If you want to rotate just run 265/40/18 That is actually the stock size for Y2K's

yeah that'll work but they're not gonna look really wide out back, but you probably won't notice a difference between those and 275s.

Im going to throw a 295/35/18 on the back. Run a Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3. Then a 265 up front

It they aren't OEM or FRPP it could be a 9" look on the back of the spoke.

the ideal size for the rear of our cars and what fits properly on a 9.5" rim are a slightly different story, i personally like anything 295 and larger, which you could probably fit on the 9.5" rim. however if you want to be able to rotate your tires that's not going to work well for you.

Then if you want to be able to rotate them and not have as harsh of a ride just go with a 265/40/18. If you want a Lower Profile tire then go 265/35 all the way around.
