I'm looking to buy a set of saleen wheels, 18X10 on the back and 18X9 on the front. What do the most of you run? I've heard 285/35 out back is ok, is that too wide/narrow. Any thoughts?

i have 265/40 in the front, which i think is just right. 285/35 in the rear, i dont think they look beefy enough from behind. next set will deff be 315s though

I want something that looks beefy but safe enough where it's not too wide

I have 315's, they stick out a little from the lip on the inside and outside because they are 12" wide on a 10" rim. a 295 would be a little better fit. It's what I'm buying for them next anyway.

Onyx did you use any sort of spacer? Your setup looks very flush against the fenders, that's exactly what I'm looking for

no sir, no spacers. It's not quite perfectly flush but it's pretty close, i may throw a 3/8" or so spacer on there sometime...

this shows it ok, 315's are pretty much perfect, the 265s are mint on the front though.

I like the 315s, what size did you use on the fronts?

mmmm I want 315's next. I honestly never even thought about doing 265/40s, they look pretty good too.

Go look at a 00R they have a factory size of 265/40 on all 4's

yeah i remember somebody, maybe it was you, saying that in another thread. When i read that i was like o_O but sure enough that's correct. Honestly never even thought to look at the stock 00R tire size.

Yeah it probably was when we were talking about Mack's 00r's he was asking what size tire for his wheels. :)

not to hijack your thread but i also just got a set of 18x9, 18x10 saleens. i already have some 265-35's on the way but i ran across a guy with some 285-30-18 pirelli pzero rosso i can get dirt cheap( like less than $50 for 90% tread). should i run them or hold off and get the 285 or 295-35's
