When I talked to MM about my front coilover setup I mentioned I had H&R SS springs for the rear and they said they wouldn't be stiff enough and recommended me switching to the H&R Race springs in the rear.

So natrually I decide to look up the H&R SS vs Race rear spring rates and to my surprise everywhere I look lists the SS springs as being stiffer in the rear than the race springs, so my questions are:

1. Is that really true and if not why does everywhere list otherwise?

2. If the SS rear springs are stiffer why would I want to switch to the Race springs?

I see what you mean:

H&R Sport Springs= Front: 490-575 lb/in, Rear: 250-285 lb/in
H&R Super Sport Springs= Front: 700-760 lb/in, Rear: 275-300 lb/in
H&R Race Springs= Front: 750-850 lb/in, Rear: 260-280 lb/in
H&R Super Race Springs= Front: 950-1050 lb/in, Rear: 260-300 lb/in

I would ask Dmitry to shed some light on this subject. One thing I noticed, the SS springs will lower the car more than the race springs.

Yep that's pretty much the same info i found everywhere. The ride height doesn't matter cause I have adjustable lower control arms, if the Race springs don't lower it as much I'll just turn them down another half inch or so.
