As some of you know I bought a unfinished 91 turbo 4cly Fox project that has some really nice parts, the plan was to finish it but I decided to part it out. The fox came with this brake setup and 18" fr500 so wheels and brakes are now on my 95 Gt.

The shop that was building the fox made a custom CNC bracket for sn95 spindles to work with the s197 brakes.

Had to do a little grinding to line up the bolt holes.

I used some washers as spacer to line up the caliper bracket.

looks great. have you tried them out yet? Is the stock MC going to be able to handle the added fluid needed?

They feel great. When I did my motor swap I switched over to a hydo boost setup out of a 04 Mach 1, so the MC is good.

what a difference in size, thats a great swap especially for the extra power you have from your 4V. a question that doesnt exactly pertain to the brakes though.. whats with only 4 lugs on the wheel lol? thats not the first time ive seen that on a mustang and ive always kinda wondered why i see them with 4 lol

Way cool!! I sent that shop a message about building more of those adapters. If you ever drop in there, you should also inquire. I bet we could get several members here together for a group buy.

I emailed the owner of the shop to see if can make more. I may have to drop off my car so he can reproduce the bracket.

Are the adapter brackets aluminum???? That's scary. :)

Who makes them? It's a cool upgrade, not sure I trust the aluminum, specialy for track use. Those old duralast brake pads looked very well heated, you may want to upgrade them to some thing better than part store pads.

The brackets are CNC billet and are super beef plus the way I see it the the 6 piston brembo calipers and brackets on cobras and gt 500's are all aluminum. The brackets where made by local shop called S&R Performance,as for the duralast pads that was the old stock brakes.

I would be interested in a set of them brackets. Let me know. but it looks very nice. Was the hydroboost pretty easy to swap in?

The hydro swap was not bad I had to drill some of the mounting holes, I don't know how the swap would work with a pushrod 5.0 due to the different PS pump.
