Yes it will. It will be 3/4" wider per side but that will actually improve the look.

wait one second.. that ad says everything is stock and the stock spline count is 28. If so the price is about right, if it is a built 8.8 with a 31 spline diff and axles it would run upwards of $600. if you do want to buy this be ready to crack it open on the spot and check it.

I wouldnt do it. If you ever go to a 10.5" wide wheel they are going to stick out past the quarters.

This is all depending on the backspacing. Many people who run 10.5s wide will still use a spacer on sn95s to get the flushed look.

I know with every set of 10.5's I've ever had on my 94's they sat flush with the quarters. I've never heard of someone using spacers with a 10.5 on a 94-98. With the usual mustang wheel(Bullitt, Fr500, etc.) they will poke out and look like ass.

If you need new rear end you can go with a 8.8 outta a fox as well. They are the same length.

Fox and 94-98 use the EXACT same rear end housing. The only difference is the length of the axles and obviously he wouldnt use the Fox axles being their 4 lug. The fox has 29.188" Axles and the 94-98 has 29.969" Axles.

That is correct. The housing is the same but the over all lengthy is shorter on the fox which will suck the wheels in slightly. If swapped over to the sn. Why would some one buy a fox dif to swap all the sn stuff back in it.

The only thing he would need to swap is the brakes and axles. Why would they buy the fox rear end? Because they are a dime a dozen and can be had for DIRT cheap....

Id do it if I was saving some money no doubt. Thats just more money for other mods. Its cake to pop axles in and out with the rear already out. And the brakes are cake too.

OP, if you go with the 99-04 rear make sure and use lower control arms and and the bolts/nuts that secure the lower control arm to the differential from a 99-04. If the differential doesn't have the ABS rings then you can either buy the rings from ford and install them on the axles or just buy some used axles with ABS rings. Also, if its a 31 spline rear with no ABS rings then you will need to make sure the axles have the ridge to install ABS rings, not all 31 spline axles will take ABS rings.

No they will not stick out past the quarter panels. I'm running 17x11's with 315's with an 03-04 IRS and mine are almost flush with the fenders. I put on a set of 17x10.5 bullitts with F1 315s and the tires were dead even flush with the fenders. The F1 315s are wide as hell though so a nitto/khumo 315 will be fine.
