Still cold here but didn't stop me from putting the Stang in the garage and changing out the stock trans mount. It was more than shot and I'm getting a clunk going in to 2nd gear. Not a bad job to do. But after my test drive it still is there (clunk). The u-joints look stock but don't seem to move that much. Any other ideas? Maybe a motor mount?

an engine mount would clunk all the time. but i suggest changing them. they are super easy, especially if you have OEM headers.

i also suggest doing the u joints. they are cheep and easy as well.

Yeah still have the OE headers. Might try that next. Any u-joints to stay away from? I shop a lot at O'riellys. But I try to stay away from the house brand stuff.

My trans mount was in two pieces.... motor mounts are next. I didn't know the u-joints were servicable on these things, that's good to know.
