Hi guys,

a few days ago I ordered new 18x9 and 18x10 FR500 wheels. Now I'm not sure about the tire dimensions. I'm 100% sure that I will take 295/35/19 in the back.
First is it a must-have that the the diameter need to be the same on the back and the front? Is there a problem with a ABS-Brake if I would have a different diameter?
Will I have space issues with a 255/40/18 or 265/35/18 in the front and a 295/35/18 in the back? The car is lowered about 1 1/4".

It would be great if you can post a picture special of the front tire. I allready asked 3 members, but I need a little picture comparison.

265/35 295/35 might have to roll your rear lips for the 295 depending on tire manufacturer

I'm looking at the tire & rim setup size wise. I've heard 265/35 and 295/35s fit fine

I run 18x9/18x10. It will vary a bit with the offset of the wheel and the maker of the tire. The 265/35/18 and 295/35/18 is a great match. I used to run that.
I stepped to a 255/35 and 285/35 set this time around. Doesn't track at much on the road (catch the groove and pull side to side) and I get just as much contact patch due to a better tire.

What LilRoush said. A thinner better quality will grip better than a cheaper fatter tire. Unless you are going solely for aesthetics.

I don't think it's a must have for the tires to be the same but i wouldn't be surprised to have ABS problems if they are way different.

I have 265/35 and 295/35 with no problems right now, but it's easy to see the front tires are indeed shorter than the rear tires. if you want them to be the same height go with the 255/40s.

Here's a shot of my 265/35-18

This 265/35/18 tire looks sick, but I will go with 255/40/18 safety wise first. If it's not looking good I will sell them and buy 265/35 !!!
LilRoush and g36 monkey: I'm not going on the track with my car. So my tire choice depends more on the aesthetic site, but I will go also with a tire with a good quality. It's better to pay a little more and have a good tire, before save money and just have problems with it.

This might help. I was thinking I had better side profile shots with various size tires on the same rims. (18x9 18x10)

265/35 Pirellis up front and 315/30 Pirellis out back. Now that I lowered the back (last pic) I think they're going to rub. Otherwise with the H&R supersports on factory control arms the 315s didn't rub. The 265s rubbed slightly at full lock on the factory control arms but that's because I got the wrong type of tire's on the front.
