What size wheel spacer should I purchase for the rear end of the new car? The car has 17" (Probably 17X9?)wheels with tire size 245/40/17. Is 35mm too much? I measured and it looks like about 1.5" to bring it out to side of wheel well. I see that H&R has many sizes. Any input from experiences appreciated. Thanks again, -Robb

1.5" spacers would probably be your best best with 245s in the rear if you want it to sit flush.

OK, Thanks. That looks like it will be a 40mm spacer from H&R. I saw that they have a distributor here in town too which was a surprise.

I have 1.25" on mine with 275/40-17 tires on a 17"x8" rim.

That looks right on. No issues with the original axle wheel studs protruding out too far?
H&R SIDE NOTE*

Footnote
8 If the depth of the wheel spacer is smaller than the length of the standard studs, the wheels used must allow for small cavities in the mounting pad of the wheel. If using wheels without cavities, the standard studs should be shortened so that they do not extend beyond the height of the spacer
