Need Headunit Wire Harness Adaptor for 98 Mustang with Premium Sound. Need Help!!!

I have been having big issue.

I am trying to install my pioneer headunit into my mustang. Its a 1998 GT with Tape headunit and sperate CD player. Its not a Mach 460 and has no tweeters. Its classified as "Premium Sound". I got both the scosche harnesses from wall-mart and none of them fit!!!

I have nailed it down that my stereo has an amp and has the same wiring as the 96-00 Mach460. After ALOT of forum searching, I people said to use the Metra 70-5510 adapter.

Can anyone confirm that the Metra 70-5510 is the correct adapter and maybe has any tricks to installing this?

    Any help would be great

    I hate you.

That hrns should work as long as your deck both has rca outputs as well as has high enough output to drive the stock amps. Ford jbl basically take the speaker level outputs from the stock deck to drive the amps. This makes for a noisey ass signal but does its job of making it hard for you to integrate into. You will either need to look into a small box called a line driver(phoenix gold makes a great one) or just bypass the noisey ass amp.

Go to my cardomain page, ride 2395420 and look at page 2. I point at the bypass hrns that you need, its right next to the radio. Disconnect that hrns and you have now bypassed your amp. A standard ford 70-1770 will plug into that and your speaker level outputs will drive them better then the stock amp honestly. You probably picked up that hrns already. It looks almost identicle to the black power hrns but has 8 wires.

If you bypass the amp you minus well pull it out. Its under the deck and makes for a great place to mount other hardware if you need space.

    I still hate you.

bragging about the fastest 6-speed CTSV in the world = your bragging you have the >38th fastest ctsv in the world. Bragging about a turbo SN you blew up after you rebuilt/improved it only to call it quits and part it out? Priceless....
