    I figured this is for your pcv system, you could just leave it all disconnected and vent the rocker covers to atmosphere. That won’t bother your idle tuning.

    This is interesting, because I have been researching PCV to death for the LS motor. The big thing I have seen is that without PCV you allow more blow-by to get contaminants in the oil. For cars that get more frequent oil changes (LESS THAN 1K) it is no big deal, but basically the fuel ends up mixing in with your oil, making it much less effective.

    From what I have seen, the catch can setup seems to be the best. As Opal said, if you want to make the biggest difference for your rings and such, run an additional vacuum pump, but most people won't want to do that.

    You're getting there!

    My stomach has just been worse then normal this week and keeping me down. After some time and thought it occurred to me that I just need more leverage. I have some steel square bar I am going to weld up into the shape I need and use it to bend the bracket.

    Health report if you care, if not skip to the next paragraph - today was a good day. For me a good day just means I do not spend it curled up in the fetal position either in my bed or bathroom but it was a bit of a milestone as well. After 15 yrs of dealing with this and the constant tests and hospital stays all my veins went to hell. When it started they could find them no problem but after getting stabbed so many times they had become hard and it was painful when they tried. The last time they tried to stick me with an IV they got it after the 5th time when they finally went down to my foot/ankle and because of this they installed a port in my chest like they do to chemo patients so they can basically just plug a special needle into the port that goes into my jugular vein. Its the IV version of the easy button and I am thankful I have it but one of the down sides is that they put a liquid in it when they take the needle out to keep blood from clotting inside of it. That fluid needs to be flushed/changed ever 6-8 weeks. Prior to this year I only needed to go in and get it changed a few times because I was usually hospitalized monthly and they did it then. After some changes this year I am happy to say for the first time in the past 10 yrs at least that its been 8 months since my last admission and today I got the fluid changed for the 4th time in a row. Prior to this year my record was 2 in a row one time but otherwise like I said its been monthly visits. I am by no means saying I am cured as I am still dealing with problems from it pretty much daily but it has been better(knock on wood). Now last week sucked but it was my own fault. I have been expanding my diet after years of taking things out of it and last week I decided to try some BBQ sauce. Nothing crazy mind you just a simple sauce like you would get at mcdonalds with nuggets but the end result was a spoon full on some chicken in a meal pretty much put me down for the week. We will try making our own as it was goooooooooooooooooooooooood after 8-9 yrs with out it.

    Car shtuff - Today I finally got under it and changed the fuel filter. I thought while I was down there with the gas tank out and the rear end that I replaced it since it was easy but looking at it today I am not sure when the last time I ever did change it(years ago before the accident possibly) so changing it out especially after starving the tank could not have hurt. After that I finally got to install the new catch can. After asking around my dad remembered he knew someone that had a heating/ac biz and had a BIG brake for ducting and such and as big as it was it took him on one handle and me on the other to do it.

    so after that and a slight change to the tune I gave it a try and for the first time it seemed like it was wanting to catch after the initial start up. The fuel pressure was a little lower then I liked and timing sounded still a bit off but it actually stayed running for a little over 10 secs. I was able to get some more data and now looking over it I have some more questions for holley tomorrow and hopes to try it again tomorrow night.

    any chance anyone can help me identify what brand injectors I am running? They are supposed to be 42 lb injectors but I need to know High/low impedance and some other data on them.

    Measure the ohms across the injector and that will tell you if its high impedance. If they are 42lbs you can look up what the cc rating is for those and that should be all the info you need.

    I was hoping this was the case as its easy and I am looking for any reason I can to pull out my new meter but was not sure what is considered high or low?

    I was on the phone with holley for nearly an hour but it was not all my fault. I can't say enough nice things about the tech support line dealing with all the little mistakes I have made and stuff I just do not know. Wait times are nothing/short and they always seem willing to help today I could tell the tech was a little new to the software but still more then willing and able to help. After going over some things with him I emailed him my tune and he figured out I had the IAC all mixed up by making my own incomplete definition for it and how it worked. After taking the bad one I made out and putting the correct one int for the first time now the motor is actually trying to keep going. This is the first time starting with the good data(short of the injectors data now)

    Most if not all injectors rated below 50lbs are high impedance injectors. When you purchased your injectors they should have come with Injector data. Accurate injector data is the basis of all fueling calculations, without it, you will spend an insane amount of time trying to get your setup dialed in. Your injector Plug and Play data will be looking for the following.
    * Fuel Breakpoint
    * High Flow Rate
    * Low Flow Rate
    along with 10-15 fuel injector offsets values based on 10-15 battery voltage levels. Your software may use different terminology but it will need those values.

    As far as identifying your injectors I would need to see one. Or if it has a green top, it's most likely a Ford Motorsport high impedance 42lb injector and I have the injector data for those somewhere.

    I hope this helps

    yes it does help thanks again. I got these injectors a while back and not sure what type they are. I am trying to avoid removing the intake to find out because its a pain to put back on with the custom pipe between the supercharger and intake but it will probably happen one more time it looks like. I can't even really seem to find too many 42 lb injectors looking around it would really be nice to not take the intake off, agian.....

    I apologize but I don't remember your setup but if you're using a power adder (supercharger) then you most likely have injectors larger than a 42. Please take note there are a few high impedance injectors sold on the market above a 42. You have 60, 80, 95, and 100. There are other larger ones rated as high impedance but I doubt that you purchased those unless you planned on making over 1100rwhp.

    Good luck, it sounds like you may need it.

    I do have a vortech SI-trim. I am %99 sure they are 42 lbers as after asking around that seemed to be the number most recommended but not sure on the brand. They are all black with a blue ring around the top but upon closer inspection I found a small puddle of fuel under the rail/injectors at the front so its coming out after all. Probably just a o-ring or needs seated better but taking it out will tell and allow me to find the make of the injectors. Damn I hate putting that intake back on though....

    yup yup got the upper out and the rail. All the o-rings were perfect so I am going to go with it was not seated correctly/tight and try again tomorrow when I can get some help to put the upper back on. I got the injector out and it looks like a lucas injector but I can't seem to find any flow data associated with the only two numbers on it 1544 and 01d030b
