Here's just a general look back on what all has been going on the last few months.

Looks like the last time I posted anything I had just gotten my welder and was trying to get comfortable with using it before starting on the car. Since then I finished up welding in a couple of panels to delete my A/C around the first of December, got started doing a little bit of filler work, then stopped working on it again for a while.

In January I got an 85 Honda ATC 250R that belonged to a friend of mine and began trying to restore it for him, which led to even more time that the car went without being touched.

It was a heap when I brought it home but that has always been a favorite of mine, it's gonna be an ongoing project but it's on it's way to looking good again.

Also in January I bought a Remington 700 tactical .223 from a friend that had never even been loaded. It came with a Vortex scope as well. This is an amazing gun but it's absolutely the loudest firearm I have ever fired.
Pictured next to it is an old .22 rifle I bought too.

    It doubles as a flamethrower.

Throughout the year I've also been working on my own 3 wheeler, an 85 Honda 250SX. Completely restored it from the frame up. Right now it is a roller again, just waiting to get the engine back. I sent the stock engine off to a company called Four Stroke Tech for a rebuild and big bore kit. Should be a wicked ride when it's back together.

Built a cart for my torch out of some left over metal I had from the welding cart project.

Also in February I bought myself another 3 wheeler, this one is an 83 Honda 200E Big Red. Couldn't pass up the deal...an old man sold it for $400. No problems out of it whatsoever, it was running when I showed up to his house. Even got the title. I put probably another $150 into it replacing a few bearings and boots, air filter, etc. I'll probably enjoy it for the summer and winter then sell it off next year.

You could definitely tell an old man owned it when I brought it home.

I cleaned it up pretty good.

In March me and my friend Matt drove his 73 Dodge Tradesman van (lol I know) to Dallas to a concert at Gas Monkey. Long story short we wound up meeting the band (Architects, if any of you have heard of them) before and after the show and got to hang out with them for a few minutes after and had them sign the side of his van. Pretty awesome experience!

Matt did the drawing...he's not a hippie he just goes camping in the van lol

Me and my dad built a bench for my future shop using an old tailgate that used to be on my grandpa's 76 F100.

More car updates coming in the next post.

The last week of March/first week of April me and a buddy got busy working on the car again. I can finally say that all of the body work in the engine bay is now done.

Shortly after that, I set the engine in the car and mocked up the intake and cold air pipe to see where I needed to cut my whole through the Scottrod panels.

For now, when the car is done I'll just use the intake pipe as I had it before. But in the future I want to get a solid pipe made, and get rid of the rubber sleeve in the middle. Buuut I don't want to pay the outrageous price for an Anderson power pipe.

Last week I started on my battery relocation project. To start off, I got some big fender washers and welded some 1" long pieces of 5/16" all thread to them.

Then I picked out a spot in the trunk where I wanted to mount the battery box and cleaned up the trunk floor so I could weld to it.

    Then bolted the box down.

I had purchased a battery hold down clamp but realized that it wouldn't work with the box that I had, so I made my own using some 3/8" all thread and a piece of 1 1/4" flat bar.

Then I put some heat shrink over the flat bar to protect things.

Pulled the seats, harnesses, and carpet out of the car for a good cleaning and to be able to run my battery cable through the car. I'm gonna try to sell the SVE seats and the harnesses. I want to go back with some better seats, and 5 point cam lock harnesses.

^^^that was about an hour ago, now we're back to the present lol. I finally cleaned all the mildew and crap out of the interior that appeared while the car was in the other shop too. I need to pull the engine back out of the car now that the hole is cut. After that we should be ready to prime and paint everything, then I can start putting all of this massive puzzle back together.

My adoring fans. Lol thanks guys. I'm gonna try to be more active now. Tapatalk randomly stopped sending me notifications a while back which led to me losing track of all the builds I was following, and I wasn't doing anything with the car at the time either so I kinda lost interest in the forums all together. I think it happens to all of us lol.

Thanks man! I'm not sure I'm ready to get rid of the harness bar just yet though. If I ever were to it would be to replace it with an MM 6 point roll bar but let's face it my car isn't nearly that serious lol.

Thanks bud! I gotta go back and check up on your thread in a minute. It's been a little while since I have. I did see that you finally painted it though I think.

Yeah, it’s all painted. Drove the crap out of it for a while. Just pulled my engine out and installed another one I built for Frank. Check out the WAP 2V thread also.

    Whos doing your painting now?

Damn, I'll have to check all that out. Paint will probably be done by my friend who's been helping me with all of the bodywork.

Pulled the engine back out this evening so maybe we'll get the engine bay in primer one day this week.

This is one of the best investments I've made.

It was an old cap thank god lol. I intentionally swapped it out before I put the load leveler on. And it's just the top cover of the cap that says MSD so the actual cap itself is still ok.

The one I have has a few more holes for other engines and most carb flanges, but it's unavailable on Amazon at the moment:
