I’m not a paint guy, so you made me curious….Does the paint flip less as it ages?

pearl paints tend to fade over time, as does almost any color short of white really(except pearl white again the pearls will fade). Now that will depend on how the paint was treated/washed/waxed/protected and how much time it spent in the sun but when they were new in the right light it would start blue, flash to green/purple and then a quick gold/orange then back to blue. I had been reading about it till that time and it didn't sound real but that first time one drove past me my jaw was on my chest.

No, just depends on how good you take care of it. Car was 12 years old in this pic and had close to 100k miles on it. Never should have sold this car.....
