Dang an original set unbroken?! I didn't think they existed.... if all the hooks on the back of the panel are in place there should not be a problem with rattles but you can always just put a layer of sound damping on the door and it not only cuts down road noise but also helps the speaker in the door sound better as well as reduce rattles.

yeah all the tabs are intact (unlike my cobra ones). all they need is for the top to be epoxied to the bottom (the plastiweld connections broke like they all do), cleaned, and refinished in the same semigloss as my dash to.

I'm doing more crazy stuff, y'all.

this is stock. squeaky. not confidence inspiring.

with some clever application of cloth tape and some m6 bolt clips...

Its very sturdy now. Obviously I'm going to use some prettier bolts and refinish everything. I've fixed all the broken parts and fitted everything.
They are ready for refinishing now.

the door panels came out decent. the pulls have some kind of weird coating on them i gotta get off before i can paint them. Oh and nighttime shot with new stereo.
this will do until i get my dakota digital dash in (yeah i pulled the trigger on that).

I'm just making everything fit and look right at the moment.
Example: the sanded marks on the bezel are because those corners looked odd rounded coming to the flat dash bezel piece.

You guys wouldn't believe how irritating these door cups are. They have a rubber coating on them from the factory. Lacquer thinner basically melts it. This is one i've finished stripping and it took a couple hours. Gonna try reducer on the other one, somebody said that makes the crap peel right off.

started on the rear seat delete. its kinda rough but that top edge will all be covered in carpet. the whole backside of this panel is covered in kilmat.

waiting on some 2k primer for the door cups but they're gonna be a gloss or satin black. so use your imagination. I ordered a 3d printer to make the little part i want to clip in the window crank hole.

oh and as of today i got about 140 miles on all the new stuff and this motor seems like a good one. i was pretty gun shy but after a few pulls including a launch and hard 1-2-3 run with zero hiccups i think she's track ready.

did the clips break on the drivers side? What is up with the screws?

the bolts bolt the thing in place because the stock clips are garbage. i hate creaks and squeaks. this eliminates that as a problem. feels super solid now.

If you get tired of the screws the reproduction pieces are a nice tight fit and do not rattle. It takes a little bit of work to get them in and out.

Is that a Tri-Ax shifter? I'm digging the angle of that handle. My Hurst leaves a little to be desired - I'm thinking about picking up a new handle for it.
