its still very early in the development process (its literally resting on the exhaust and some hockey picks :D) but you can see what I'm going for here.

here's the reasoning:

1. hide the pinch welds
2. add some brushed aluminum for class
3. it accents the wheels
4. ties the exhaust into the body lines so it doesn't seem so tacked on
5. harkens back to the first mustang.

Interesting side pipes and aluminum shrouds, what subframe connectors do you have that the pipes clear so well?

they're pretty much better in every way apart from forcing some creative seat bracketry at times, depending on what you wanna run.

im drillin holes! nutserts on the underside of the car with one at the end of the trim piece becaase the bolt has to go in from the top.

mounting points done. i'm going to do the other side now and then after both are to my liking I will get the front and rear parts all finished out in a way that keeps both sides symmetrical. you gotta get on the ground to see the pinch welds now.

I sprayed my pinch welds with flat black paint the day after I removed the OEM sideskirts. They virtually disappeared.

i would have probably done that but i wanted the sidepipes to have a little help looking like more than an afterthought.

got the front brackets done. don't hate my less than stellar tiggery, im a newb. they're strong tho. now i just have to get the front ends sorted and maybe change up the sidepipes a smidge.
