I dont think there are any
When your putting a wide tire on the rear
The wider the more tire on the pavement
Harder to channel out the water on the road

So what about scaling the offset down? Say, stock 255/45x17 fronts and a 275/40 or 285/45 rear?

I run 285/40 18 Goodyear eagle gt super car tires on the back of mine and they do pretty well in the rain.

Wow! I use my Nitto 555G2's in wet track weather and yes, they'll slide, but it's controlled by my right foot. Also run a square setup.

Up here in Oregon, the first rain of Fall is brutal for that reason. After that though, it is manageable. That said, I still drove my truck (2002 F150 Screw) all winter

We only get rain for 2 months total rest sun is blistering the road
And a lot of cars hear will catch fire from oil leaks because of the heat
Oil on the road looks like a mirror reflection off the road
And when it rains good God the oil water mix is crazy
Pump the brakes you'll slide and rear end someone
If your not expecting it going to fast

Lwarrior, I’m running 17’s but I’ll check out , see if they have in my diameter.
The Goodyears we don’t tend to consider because they’re a brand that frequently comes on new cars did we can’t wait to get rid of them. But, truth be told, though their tread wear may fall short of other brands due to their softer compounds, they DO ride nice and handle well in wet.

I will say that, the tread does not last as long as I thought it would. They were put on August of 2020, and they are close to needing replaced. I’m thinking august of this year will call for another set, but they are a 220 treadwear and I don’t drive it easy. It’s my daily and sees A LOT of burnouts. I will be using them again.
