03 Roush 380r Rear Wheel Studs

9D0B1883-B1D1-43EF-943A-C48D986F6CD8.jpeg68457446-232C-415F-BA9D-D9BD4B6F2C7D.jpegHas anyone run into not being able to get the rear wheel studs out of the hub? I’ve done these before on other vehicles and just knock them out but these seem to be threaded and seized in pretty good.

Appreciate any advice ahead of time!

That’s strange. The first thing I would try is getting two 1/2-20 (I think that’s the thread) nuts and tighten them to each other on the stud and use the outer one to turn the stud out. That way if it rounds the edges it’s just the nut and you can figure something else out without rounding off the stud itself.

I had to pound mine pretty good to get them out. If they are original and been in there 20 years maybe try some heat? This is assuming you tried some oil first but they do look dry.

Thoughts look to be fine thread bolts , soak and then use a good quality box end. Break them loose. And the ratchet wrench them out. Not a press in bolt

I use PB Blaster penetrating oil for things like that. If you can find a 6pt box end in that size it will give you good grip. Also, like @whiplash473 said, bind 2 properly sized nuts and turn it from the front - that way you can use an impact.
