Yep, mid 15's on the stock.
My last run before I tore the motor down sucked! - stock convertor - bounced off the limiter?? and ran a 15.1 whoot!
Freekin shitty tune!
A shift kit and/or better staul would really help the 60' times.
my first time out (97, 5 speed car) i ran 15.2's at full weight (rear seats, subwoofer, jack and spare). i must suck driving, you guys get better track prep or something else? my best, as stated in a dozen other threads, is a 14.947 @ 93.52 / 2.232 60'. i was going to go to the track tonight to TNT for next weekend (Buick vs. Ford Shootout) but stuff came up. im hoping to run some low 14's next time out... got DR's and a tune now! i think its doable if all i do is cut a 1.8/9 60' and if the tune does its job who knows i might see a high 13. either way it'll be a major improvement over my last visit ;D
good luck with that auto, 1996mustangGT... post your times after you get it to the track!! dont be embarrased if you dont have much done to the car yet. there's bound to be at least one car slower than you and its more fun than you can imagine!! i just started racing last year and im hooked!!
hey anyone reading this thats near Oklahoma should come help us spank up on some Buicks next weekend. info is listed in the Events section :thumb:
well mine wasn't a auto but with a short throw, CAI, X-pipe i was running in the 15.00 - 15.2 range at like 92-93mph. thats with full weight, no track prep and bad 60ft times. after the PI swap and gears and some other goodies i went [email protected] in pretty much exact conditions, only ran the car a few passes down the track so my best 60ft was a 2.3sec with some more practice it would run in the 13's at a tad over 100mph with ease. it was a a diffrent car after the PI sawp i tell you.
good luck with your car
my 96 with off road x and weld in flows managed a 14.6 at 96 on stock rubber with a 2 or 2.2 60 cant remember...was a few years ago. I hammered the crap out of it for that though..lol..and it burned a little oil at the time..still does.
