I was originally going to go with 18" Faleens but decided to go with 17" 03 (Front 17x9, Rear 17X10.5) Cobras instead. It was the right choice for me. I got incredible tires (Goodyear Eagle F1 GS (D3s in rear)) all the way around for less than I could have gotten the 18"s with some tire I'd never even heard of. I was willing to sacrifice a few style points for a lot more handling.

18's surely look better, Only reason to go with the 17 is tire price and the 315/35/17 if you go 10.5.

Also consider brake upgrades when purchasing. Some, not all aftermarket brakes wont fit with 17s.

The only brake set Ive found that required 18s was the Cobra R brakes. EVERYTHING else required at least 17s. Go with 17s.

I am currently in the process of switching out 18's to go with 17's. I had 18x10 and 18x9 and was running 315x30 BFG drag radials on the rears and 265x35 street radials on the front.

I switched primarily because I wanted a set of chrome rims on the car. I went with 17's primarily because that was what my budget would allow following selling the 18's. However, I also like the look of the fatter (taller) tire. And the ride quality is a bit better with the 17's and it helps prolong the life of other parts when the taller sidewall helps absorb some of the punishment from the road.

I will be going with BBS RX's in chrome with 275x40 street tires. If I want to have a staggered look- Nitto 315's fit fine on the back if you are running a 17x9 rim.

These will be the new rims-

18's are alot more pimp in my opinion. Which is why of course why I went with 'em :pimp:

Unless your cost-conscience or worried about racing go w/18's

Here is my 18x9/10 GT40's with 245/40 and 285/40 Nittos:

I got the Baer 13" kit for the rear of mine, and it said 17's will clear but I found out the hard way 10.5" 17's will NOT clear.

ive been doing a ton of thinkin about this lately. i was dead set on 18'' saleens but then started calculating tire prices. 650 for 17's and 850 for 18's (nitto nt555's). i think 850 is a ton of cash to be spending on tires.

18's do look awesome but sometimes i feel like they are a little big. im more focused on handling rather than looks.
