1966 gt gas gauge issues...

so something funny is up with the 66.....
the gas gauge just sits on e now......
not. very. goood.
any sugestions?

Looks like you need to get a new fuel send. The float in the tank likes to rust out and sink in these cars. Good luck on getting one that will read right. I replaced mine last winter and when the tank was full it read 3/4. So I'm going to order another one and see if that does the trick.

yeah it just wouldnt register any fuel anymore.....
thats going to be a biatch to get out....
do you have to drop the tanks.... :noes:

No pulling the tank on a 66. Just hope you can undo the drain, If not then run the car until it's empty. The sender mounts to the bottom of the tank.

Sorry to say but the 94 you are going to have to drop the tank. Not sure on what would casue it not to work though.

well at least the sending unit isnt to expensive...
that the most likeley cause....?
