1994 Cobra Door Lock Switch Operates Window

My passenger door lock switch operates the window and my window switch operates the door lock. I thought these switches were modular and couldn't be plugged into one another.

Is this simply a matter of reversing the plugs? Or has the plug wiring into the plugs been reversed?

This car is new to me, so I am unfamiliar with it.

they are similar enough that if someone really wanted to they could probably figure a way out to swap them. It takes 5 secs to pull that panel out and see if it looks like they were swapped.

the lock wires are much thinner than the window motor wires. swapping the switch does nothing, sounds like somebody tinkered in the harness and got some wires backwards.
