1994 to 2004 use same top lift cylinders?

Does anyone know if the convertible top lift cylinders from 1994 to 2004 are same? Product specs say 1994-1998 and 1999-2004 are 2 different cylinders but the images look very close

Good question! I too am clueless of the differences. Ill poke around on the web and see what I can dig up

You could ask through email to one of the major Mustang parts resellers like American Muscle or Late Model Restorations if the cylinder would in fact bolt on and operate given the year differences. Stress to them your situation about sourcing parts and they may help out
