The top right corner of the bottom of the hood where the damage is . When I got back home I noticed the ground screw in the other pic by the hood bump stop wasn’t tightened down . I had the rad out yesterday and the brackets for the rad I had to undo the ground bolt to get the rad bracket off . Clearly forgot to tighten it slammed the hood made it 2 mins down the road .

This has me second guessing my hood. It's been on there for years but still has a goodshimmy to it at higher speeds.
I'm wondering if he figured out what happened.

Ah ok I gotcha. Thanks for investigating it. So it was just never really fully latched to begin with.
Lucky you were not on a highway

Yea and there is no cross bar on these like a factory hood so if it doesn’t latch fully it’s coming up .

Man that stinks! I've been a little concerned with my hood since it's a fiberglass replacement Cobra hood. It latches fine, in fact you have to slam it, and I've never seen it move but it is still something I think about. I was running at a pretty good clip on the interstate this morning and had that exact thought - what if it comes up....

The hood on my '06 fluttered like crazy. They were known to dance around.

I’ve never had this happen in any of my cars I’ve had cowl hoods on numerous mustangs I’ve had over the years too . After two flakes on marketplace for cowl hoods . I drove 200 miles yesterday when the guy agreed Sunday morning and all of a sudden he’s too sick . For 800 bucks I don’t care if I had diarrhea my soup ass would have got out of bed . Then my old boss who I talk to often still who’s a cervinis dealer didn’t call about hoods for me today so I ordered a 95 cobra r direct from cervinis .

last year I was driving when I suddenly thought "Did I see the hood come up an inch?". NOTHING will make you pucker like when you realize that you did see it go up/down an inch. Put locktight on the nuts that hold the aerocatch hood pins in place or they can work loose and allow it to move.

No time to waste . Time to get this thing back together and get it running . New studs over the bulllshit bolts . They were overtorqued to the point the washers were snapped
