I need a picture of 1995 Hood Striker loop. If someone could snap a pic on your car I would appreciate it. The loop is bolted to the hood and is secures the hood to the latch when engaged. I bought a project with some loose piece including the hood. It did not have a striker loop. I have searched a dozen sites including the resto sites and have found later models but need to know what the 95-98 striker looks like to find a match. Minor problem but annoying. Thanks in advance.

I see my mistake. There is no loop. The primary and secondary latches clamp down on the sides of the square opening in the hood. My real issue is the hood does not travel down far enough to engage the primary latch only the secondary.

Is it hitting the hood bumpers? Also the latch itself is adjustable. It might need to be adjusted up a bit.

I agree it needs adjustment. I have to remove the alignment pins from the back of the latch first but it has been so cold here I am waiting for a day above freezing. Thanks for the response.

I removed the alignment pins from the back of the latch. This gave me full adjustment of the latch. I installed it and had enough upward movement to set the latch where it closes properly. Problem solved.
