Made a coil relocation bracket out of aluminum today. Have to take it off and polish it now that I have it fitting the way I like.

Finally making progress. Got the mishimoto rad out of the box, installed the mounting brackets and put it in the car.

Got the proper length serpentine belt and installed it.

Finished up a lot of the wiring and connectors under the hood.

Removed the computer to install the moates quarter horse.

Installed the battery tray and battery (until I can afford to relocate it)

Well the car first up today, ran like a champ. I let it run for about 10 minutes shut it down and now it won’t fire. Turn over but won’t start. I’m perplexed

Run out of gas already?
Old dizzy?
Is fuel pump still priming?

I out 10 gallons of fuel in it, the distributor is my old one, fuel pump is priming and running.

I just got the car to fire, had to give it throttle. It’s started but the idle is surging

Check iac. May be sticking or not working properly. Could also be a vacuum line that came loose. Both of those would cause the same thing.

Awesome that’s for the tips. It is a different iac than I used before so it could easily be the issue

Also I just adjusted the timing a little bit and now she starts without throttle and runs much smoother. I can locate the spout connector so I haven’t set the timing yet. I have looked in the passenger fender and can’t locate it

That is very odd. It doesn’t sound like it hesitated or had a miss due to timing being off. You’d think it wouldn’t of started that smooth otherwise.
