I have a 1995 mustang gt with a 5.4 stroker with a votech supercharger. I am having issues with it spudering after overheating the motor. The car will idle rough and then once in closed loop while on the throttle the engine will miss fire and back fire with loss of power then come alive and repeat. Bank 1 is running lean.

We have swapped injectors
distributer
spark plugs
wires
plugged the egr
new upper to lower intake gasket
timing set to 10
new ecu
smoked tested for vacuum leaks
Compression test all cylinders were good
Fuel pressure was good With engine off and on

I have data logs if that helps to look at I can record a video.

First, hi nice to meet ya. Second, by 5.4 you are talking about a mod motor?? You listed a dizzy which would mean pushrod so that would be either 5.0 or 5.8. Third, are you using a stock ecu with a chip or a plug-n-play aftermarket system?? Fourth, how bad of an overheat are we talking about??? Bad enough you could have popped a head gasket? If so have you ran compression test?

Last, who tuned the car?? Talk to them to see if they have thoughts as to what could of happened. What caused the overheating and have you remedied that??

I think he meant he has a 302 stroked to a 331.

What's happening on your data logs? Are you dropping spark or fuel at some point? Certainly would cause a misfire. As mentioned about I would speak with your tuner. Need to review the data and see what's going on.

Also any mechanical noises? Grinding, rattles etc

It is a 302 stroker, using stock ecu with a quarterhorse tuned by Decipha from EFI dyno tuning. It got to about l on the temp gauge. Overheat was fixed it had a lose hose.

I can upload the data log if you have tuner pro. I could record a video and maybe upload a video to YouTube to show you what the log is doing.
