Hi,
I recently got a 1996 Cobra and found that the speedometer is off. It has 410 gears and 18" wheels. I want to get a speed calibrator to fix the speedometer on the car. I am thinking about getting the ford racing one but thought I would see if anybody has experience with this one or any others I should maybe consider?

Thanks

I used stick on velcro, stuck it to the firewall (engine side, in front of passenger seat). There is that main harness there, so I tapped into two of the wires. Want switched power, so it doesn't drain your battery.....

Hey I just got mine but I don't have the circuit diagram. I ordered a manual but don't have it yet. I noticed the wires aren't very long. Did u connect the ground wire to another ground ground wire in the same harness as the other wires?

I just grounded it somewhere on the body, can't remember which bolt exactly. But the instructions said which wire the VSS was that I needed to cut. I just used a voltmeter to find switched power in that big harness......

Well its installed and my speedometer is now accurate. Now I'm actually going 120 instead of what I thought was 135

i have the FRPP speed cal. easy to calibrate, easy to install, non-functional with 03/04 Cobras (from what i can tell -- not that that would effect you. lol)

Grey/black for the signal wire. The wire going towards the engine is the one going to transmission. I also tapped into the red power wire. You can get the speed cal wires from the website
