I have a 1996 GT that I bought previously modified to a moderate extent, and I’m having trouble finding an issue that would be causing my turn signals not to work. It seems to be upstream because when I hit the switch, they do not trigger the flasher (which does work). But they also don’t illuminate the flash indicator on the dash neither. I figured it was the multi-purpose switch, but everything else on it works such as the wipers and the brights. Also, nothing on my gauge cluster works. Don’t know if that correlates but I will include that as well. I pulled it out and found little to no indications of a problem. Any ideas? Maybe a bad ground? And if so what ground am I missing, because I got all that were under the hood with wire brush and a flap disk and reseated them. Any helpful info is much appreciated, thanks.

You mentioned the multifunction switch. It is common for them to partially fail. Wouldn’t be hard to remove it and do a continuity test.

@ttocs - You mind checking that desk manual of yours and posting the diagram?

do the lights in front/back come on when you trigger them? It almost sounds like a burned out bulb or two or a bad connection.

Does the hazard flasher work? Power is hot all the time to the flasher. Check it with a test light. Turn on the ignition. Check the other hot wire to the flasher. If that is good, is power coming out of the flasher? If not, it's the flasher. If power is coming out of the flasher it could be a bad switch. You can google a wiring diagram.
