Update on what’s going on. The cars parked at my brothers, life has gotten in the way and put the project on hold... currently looking for some work, attending college soon for my level 2 ase, expecting a baby the beginning of August. So things are on hold for the time being....

Well due to the world crisis at hand right now, I have plenty of free time and can actually start working on the car. Motors coming out regardless, doing a full rebuild. Stock bottom end with new main rod bearings and rings. Does anyone have a set of oem pistons laying around they’d sell? Also debating if I should run the boi heads with stock pi truck cams? Or throw my 06 pi cams in it, or do a whole pi swap with stock cams? Trying to stay away from a tune, and trying not to break the bank with it. I know it won’t be the fastest but I do miss driving the old thing and some pep in it would be nice :D

I moved the car after it’s been sitting for nearly a year and have decided why not yank the heads off, resurface them and replace the valve seals install the pi cams and see what it makes of it, the car did smoke a lot but has overheated twice that I’ve had it but it always ran strong! Drove the car out of town daily and it always did fine. Thoughts?

Starting to get things pieces together for the car finally! Ordered a set of rods/pistons (flat tops specifically) they came in last week and were the wrong ones so I contacted mmr and they sent me the right ones and I got them today. The ones above the flat tops are the ones I received and are mustang rods/pistons. The goal is a high compression budget build, worked npi heads, pi cams that will get some love as well that came off a 2006 crown Vic, stock bottom end other then flat top truck pistons. And I’ve managed to snag a black carpet, speakers and other small things for the car as well. Hopefully I can start slapping it all together soon.

Starting to put some things together! Swapping the flat tops over to the mustang rods. This is the first time I’ve attempted anything like this, and let me say the wrist pin locks have been a SOB!!
