Hello all! New member, looking forward into participating! I purchased a 1998 Mustang GT a short while ago. Its developed a highly annoying condition of vibrating under load/acceleration. It seems to "smooth" out somewhat past 3k rpm's but I think that's by virtue of the rotations being so high. Any common issues on these cars that could be the culprit?

If you haven't already done so, take a quick check for simple maintenance items: fluid levels, plugs, etc.
Rule out the easy stuff first.

Also, have a shop check the balance on all of your wheels - you may have lost a weight somewhere.

5 speed. Just had the fluids changed and tune up done so those are ruled out. Also has brand new tires so i dont think its that. It literally only does it while accelerating, if i let my foot off the gas and im coasting it stops immediately.

I have a 98 as well. Does the rearend have the factory upper and lower control arms? If it has adjustable upper arms and they are just slightly off it will do exactly this.
