I just had my 2.1 rebuilt and purchased a 2.6 mammoth inlet from Kenne Bell at the same time. I also had them install a spacer for fuel rail clearance. The issue I am having is that the intercooler fittings on the back of the intake still will not clear the new 2.6 inlet. It looks like I need a little over 1/4" more clearance. Im thinking I have 3 options.
1. Possibly relocate the fittings to the back of the intake instead of the top. My concern with this is that it may cause weak areas since I would be drilling into the side of the original ports. Potentially creating a weak area that could crack if it were to get hot.
2. Grind the 2 pads where the fittings go allowing me enough clearance.
3. Remove the 1" spacer and find someone that can make one a little taller for clearance.

If anyone here has any experience installing a 2.6 Mammoth inlet on a 2.1 please let me know. In the pic you can see the 2 ports where the fittings go under the inlet.

I have been speaking to Mike and Carlos for several months. I just had the 2.1 rebuilt and re-anodized. They also installed the 1" spacer and sold me the mammoth inlet. We have been bouncing ideas back and forth. I talked to a fabricator that I know and he is going to see if he cab fab up some custom fittings. Hopefully that will solve the issue. If not then I will probably just take the blower apart and install a thicker spacer.

Trying to push this 2.1 as far as I can. Im definitely curious to see what numbers it makes. Even more curious at to track times and trap speed.

I assume your just trying to get a 90 degree fitting in there to connect to? my cnc could probably make the taller spacer if you go that option.

Yeah trying to get a 90° to connect up the intercooler hoses. If the new fittings don't work out I will holler at you. I will see what it would cost to have you make a spacer. I could send the spacer I have to use as a template.
