hey guys, just trying to start out on the forums again. i messed up before with a post i never followed through with. hopefully i can help the people that give me help someday. i always thought the 2001-2004 2v 4.6's had 9.5:1 compression but was looking to find out the piston dish cc's and the stock pi head cc's were. been hearing different things everywhere i look. even info on all the 2v piston and head cc's would be appreciated

I have never officially measured an untouch stock cylinder head, but claims of stock pi is 42cc chamber and 17cc dish pistons. 93-up 2v 4.6l npi heads are 51cc chamber with 11cc dish pistons. All n/a 4.6l 4v pistons are 3cc dish, while the navigators 4v are true flat top. All production 4v heads (to my knowledge) is 52cc. Lightnings pistons came forged with 18cc dish. 03/04 cobra,... not sure?
Mustangs and licolns piston and rods came full floating wrist pin. Any thing else pre-2000 came pressed pin.

Any particular reason why knowing the static ratio? What are you planning to build?

i was debating investing in a 5.0 big bore and was lookin to maybe upgrade heads but at the same time was looking to keep similar to stock compression. i have a 2003 gt with a cobra blower but ended up destroying a shortblock already. replaced it with an 01 longblock but i dont figure its a long term solution.

thanks for the info, nice to know these things. i was just always under the impression the romeo and windsor engines in new edges had different compression.
