Got a chance to get the factory springs and Tokico shocks/struts from a 70k mile 2001 Bullitt for $150. I want to lower my stock 1998 GT ragtop, but not too much, and am also on a budget. Good deal, or keep looking?

Yeah I'd pass tbh. Take out your iso's and thats like the drop you'll get. The shocks and struts aren't worth it either.

OK, why is it a bad idea? I'm not looking to lower a lot, maybe an inch.

I wouldn't do it because I would rather have springs made for a convertible and depending how old they are the shocks and struts could be worn out.

Swapping suspension is a lot of work to install used parts.

I would keep saving and get exactly the parts you want. I put Tokico blues on my car a few years back and while they are ok I wish I would have spent a little more and gotten Bilstiens.

I'd pass.
Used suspension like shocks can be a bit iffy. Also none of the factory suspension is that special. Also I'd get the correct convertible springs.
Save up and do it right the first time.

The previous owner put 2001 Bullitt suspension on my 98GT. Can't tell you if it's good or bad but I've driving around like that for 6 years and never had any issues, so I see no reason to change it.
