My aunt has a 2001 Ford Explorer xlt with the 4.0L motor. Recently I had noticed that her headlights were fluttering when i backed the truck out of the garage. I thought ok maybe a bad voltage regulator. I check all over the internet for result and everyone keep talking about the day time running lights. Her truck doesn't have that option on it. I noticed that the light also flutter when the just the corner lights are on. and when the corner lights are on the dash lights flutter too.
I am either thinking a bad ground some where but also thing the voltage regulator may be going bad. It does have a re manufactured alternator and it has been 3 to 4 years since it was replaced. I have not checked the voltage on the alternator, but i have also read the headlight switch could be going bad as well.
Any thoughts or ideas
